Text Box: In 2010, the Jackson Physicians Alliance has transitioned its focus towards assisting its member physicians in practice transformation. The healthcare industry is undergoing its own transformation that focuses on “evidence based” care delivery. JPA is available to assist its members in beginning their own transformation by sharing expert advice and working in the practice with the individual provider and staff. JPA is your “go to” resource in building staff infrastructure, assembling the resources and creating partnerships and affiliations. JPA’s Practice Transformation Initiatives for 2010 are Practice Re-engineering—LEAN Process Review, Pay-For Performance Programs, and Patient Centered Medical Home. The practice transformation process is a long-term process that is still evolving. There is no workbook or recipe to follow, so ambiguity and confusion will abound during the process. JPA will help guide each practice through the process and be available for support as needed. JPA is currently hosting monthly webinars for its members, which detail various topics that practices will need to understand while undergoing transformation processes.
