To participate in PGIP, physician organizations may select up to 34 initiatives in which to participate. They then should show meaningful progress in implementing patient centered medical home capabilities while improving quality-and-use performance. PGIP has organized its initiatives and qualification standards into (5) general categories: service-focused; core clinical process-focused; condition-focused; clinical information technology; and organized systems care.
As of January 2012, the Jackson Physicians Alliance has chosen to implement a total of 27 initiatives. Since 2008, JPA has been working with each participating member practice to maximize their earning potential in each of the categories. In the table below, you can learn more about each initiative by clicking on it. JPA is dedicated to helping practice improve their processes to become more efficient, quality driven and patient centered.
