Text Box: The Jackson Physicians Alliance (JPA) is a professional corporation representing more than 188 multi-specialty physicians located in and around the greater Jackson, Michigan area. The organization serves to: Optimize practice operations and ROI Negotiate payer contracts Administer Pay-For-Performance programs Analyze utilization data and target medical management issues Provide education and training to providers and their staffs Offer management services and vendor discount programs Monitor industry trends Work collaboratively with other organizations to improve the overall health status of residents within Jackson County Formed in 1994 to facilitate the provision of medical and surgical services through an integrated business structure, today JPA serves as a centralized resource on behalf of its member physicians. JPA is building an analytical infrastructure to provide its physician members with utilization and trend information so that patient care can be optimized. One of the primary goals of the organizations is to serve as a catalyst so JPA physicians will be recognized as providing exceptional patient care in the most appropriate venue. JPA participating physicians represent approximately 75 percent of non-mental health care providers practicing in the area. The group is split approximately 40% primary care and 60% specialty care providers.
